Wergi started his career from amateur fights in 2004. Just couple of months later he got into Polish National Team and fought in many international bouts in white-and-red colors. Amateur fights differ from pro fights when it comes to distance (mostly it's 3 rounds, 2 minutes each), fighters wear helmets and shin guards. Usually fights don't have spectacular show with them, but sporting level is very high.
